MBA Admission  Test (2012-13) of the Institute of Business Administration  (lBA), University of Dhaka will be held on Friday, December 28,2012  at 10 am. The Admission Test will begin at 10:00am and the candidates must report to their respective test center by 9:30am.

Eligibility for IBA Admission Test:


All applicants must have at least a Bachelor Degree in any field of study. The minimum qualifying point is seven (07) for all applicants. The points are calculated as follows:

SSC and HSC or Equivalents

O and A level candidates please note down:


** Applicants who have taken O-Level examination must pass at least five (05) subjects (including mathematics) with a minimum of grade D in each of the subjects.

** Applicants who have taken the A-Level examination must pass at least two (02) subjects with a minimum of grade D in each of the subjects.

** Letter grades of 0-Level and A-Level subjects are converted into grade points as follows:

A = 4, B = 3, C = 2 and D = 1. Grade Point Average (GPA) is calculated by averaging the grade points of the best five grades for O -level and the best two grades for A-Level.

Selection Procedure:


The test has two components: Written Assessment and Interview.

The written assessment component evaluates applicants' aptitude in Language, Mathematics, and Analytical ability. An applicant must obtain a minimum qualifying score in each of the above areas to pass of the written test and appear for the interview.
All Bangladeshi applicants must take the admission test. Foreign applicants with a minimum percentile of 50 in GMAT may be exempted from the written assessment. However, they will be required to appear for an interview.

  • For all foreign certificates, equivalence will be determined by the institute.

  • Applicants with forign degrees, having a score of at least 550 in GMAT (minimum 45 percentile in verbal and 50 percentile in quantitative), may be exempted from taking the written examinations. However, they will be required to appear for Interview.

  • The filled-in application form along with a Bank Draft/ Pay order for Tk. 1500/= (Fifteen hundred) payable to "Executive MBA, IBA" should be submitted to the executive MBA Program Office within December 12, 2012 to January 09, 2013 (10.30 AM to 9.00 PM)

2nd Batch ACBA Admission in IBA of DU- iba-du.edu

Advanced Certificate in Business Administration (ACBA) is a recently introduce regular certificate program from IBAdesigned for managers and executives as part of our Management Development Program (MDP) at IBA.

Classes of ACBA Batch-2 will commence from January 04, 2013. The last date of application is December 10, 2012. It is jointly offered by IBA and AMDISA (Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia - www.amdisa.org).

Program Modules & Contents


The program comprises four core modules consisting of Human Resource and Employee Relations, Accounting and Finance for Managers, Marketing in a Changing Environment, Strategic Planning and Innovation Management.
ACBA second batch admission in IBA DU

Mode of Delivery &Program Schedule


Each module will be taught over five weeks (weekends only). The modules will be offered back to back, as such 20 weeks will be required to complete the entire program. The modules will be usually offered in the following sequence:

  • Module 1: Marketing in a Changing Environment

  • Module 2: Accounting and Finance for Managerial Decisions

  • Module 3: Human Resources and Employee Relations

  • Module 4: Strategic Planning and Innovation Management


 

Venue, Time and Facilities


The classes will be held at  IBA  premises.  The participants will have access to IBA Library and Computer Centre facilities. The usual timing for the classes is as follows:

Fridays:   3.30 pm – 6.00 pm
Saturdays:   10.30 am – 1.00 pm and  2.30 pm – 5.00 pm

 

Eligibility Criteria 



  • Bachelors degree in any discipline

  • Minimum 5 (five)years of work experience with reputed organization(s)

  • Applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 or 3.00 out of 5.00 in all public examinations

  • For GCSE  and  other  international qualifications,  equivalence will be established by  the Institute


Admission Procedure


Candidates fulfilling the above requirements should apply using the attached application form (download form above link). Eligible candidates will be appearing before an interview board for selection.

Fees 



  • The enrollment fee for the program (to be paid once only) is Tk. 4,500 (or USD 55).

  •  The fee for individual module is Tk. 24,500 (or USD 295).

  • This fee includes tuition, course materials, lunch & refreshments and certification costs.

  • All payments are to be made in bank drafts  or pay-order or crossed cheque drawn in favor of ‘Management Development Program, IBA, DU’.

  • For international participants lodging and boarding arrangements can be made at actual costs.


Assessment Procedure 


The assessment will be done for each module through individual and group assignments, case studies and examinations. A minimum of 70% class attendance is mandatory.

Certification  


On successful completion of each of the modules, participants will be awarded a certificate.Participants intended to undertake the entire program and obtain the Advanced Certificate in Business Administration  (ACBA) must complete all of the four modules within 2 (two)
years from the date of registration.

Key Resource Persons  


The resource persons for the program comprise faculty members from IBA, University of Dhaka and other leading regional business schools  under the umbrella of AMDISA. Prominent management practitioners from the industry at home and abroad are also part of the resource pool.

IBA-DU.EDU EMBA Admission Test, Fall 2012 on September 07

Instructions:



  1. The written examination for EMBA will be held on Friday 07, 2012 at 10.00 am at IBA, University of Dhaka. Successful candidates will be asked to appear for an interview.

  2. Applicants with foreign degrees, having a score of at least 550 in GMAT (minimum 45 percentile in verbal and 50 percentile in quantitative), may be exempted from taking the written examination. However, they will be required to appear for an interview.
