Units & Departments with Seat numbers and Admission Application Fees:
Unit A: Application Fee- 550 Taka
- Computer Science and Engineering = 40
- Petroleum and Mining Engineering = 35
- Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering = 40
- Industrial and Production Engineering = 35
- Electrical and Electronic Engineering = 30
Unit B: Application Fee- 500 Taka
- Microbiology = 40
- Fisheries and Marine Bioscience = 40
- Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology = 40
- Pharmacy = 35
Unit C: Application Fee- 350 Taka
- Nutrition and Food Technology = 35
- Environmental Science and Health Management = 40
Unit D: Application Fee- 250 Taka
- Physical Education, Sports and Culture (PESC)=30
Qualifications to apply:
For A, B and C Unit:
- Candidates must be Bangladeshi citizen. Foreigners/Non Resident Bangladeshi can also apply but they must pay tuition fees fixed by University authority.
- Candidates who passed HSC/Alim/A Level/Vocational exam from Science/ Agricultural Science in the year 2011 and 2012 can only apply.
- GPA Required for A and B Unit: Total 7.5 and at least 3.5 in each on SSC and HSC (with 4th subject)
- GPA require C Unit: Total 7.00 and at least 3.00 in each on SSC and HSC (with 4th subject)
- GCE and O and A Level: Average B grade in 5 of GCE O level and B grade in 3 of A Level exam
- Diploma Engineers: Those who passed diploma in 2010 and 2011 with B grade (Minimum GP 3 out of 4) and total point 6.5 can apply for admission in A and C Unit.
- Who passed SSC in 2009 are instructed to drop application attending personally in respective units.
For D Unit:
- Candidates must be Bangladeshi citizen. Foreigners/Non Resident Bangladeshi can also apply but they must pay tuition fees fixed by University authority.
- Candidates who passed HSC/Alim/A Level/Vocational exam from Science/ Agricultural Science in the year 2011 and 2012 can only apply.
- GPA Requirements: Total 6.00 and at least 2.5 in each on SSC and HSC (with 4th subject)
- GCE and O and A Level: Average B grade in 5 of GCE O level and B grade in 3 of A Level exam
