Requirements for Regular commission in BMA:
To apply for a Commissioned Officer you must be:
- Not more than 28 years old on 1st January 2013.(Affidavit is not acceptable)
- A standard physical fitnessas described under :
- Male
- Height 1.63 meter / 5ft 4 inchs
- Weight 50 KG (110 pound)
- Chest 0.71 Meter (28 Inch) Normal, 0.76 Meter (30 Inch) Extended
- Female
- Height 1.55 meter / 5ft 1 inchs
- Weight 46 KG (100 pound)
- Chest 0.71 Meter (28 Inch) Normal, 0.76 Meter (30 Inch) Extended
- Male
- A Bangladeshi citizen.
Educational Qualification:
- Army Medical Core: male/female must have MBBS degree and completed internship from government permitted University.( Completing internship by 31st December 2012 is applicable)
- Army Dental Core: male: must have BDS degree and completed internship from government permitted University.( Completing internship by 31st December 2012 is applicable)
- Remount Veterinary And Farm Core: Male: VM or graduate Vm from government permitted University having second class in both case(lowest CGPA 2.5)
- Army Educational Core: (judge advocate general)Female/male:LLB(hons.) and LLM degree having at least second class in both case.
- Engineers core: male/female: at least 2nd class BSC degree in civil engineering from permitted university.
- Electrical And Mechanical Core:male/female: second class BSC degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, CSE, Material and meteorological Engineering.(CGPA 2.5)
- Signals Core: male : in CSE at least 2nd class BSC, male/female: in EEE and ECE at least 2nd class BSC degree.
Marital status:
- Male: Unmarried(not divorced). by 1st January 2013, person over 26 year aged and married can apply. Legal action should be taken if the person is less than 26 years old but married onset of joining or after the course.
- Female: Married/Unmarried.
- Unqualification:
- Released or banned from Army/Navy/Air force or any government service.
- Two time screened out from the ISSB board(One time screened out can apply for second time)
- If the Application is dennied by Medical board.
Online Application System for BMA
After filling up application form in the bangladesh army website you can collect the 'Call Up Letter'directly from that website.
If you can not apply online:
You will have to send a Bank draft/Pay order of BDT. 500/- from any branch of Sonali Bank to "Army Headquarter, A/G branch, P/A Poridoptor, Dhaka Cantonment'. Then deposit this pay order in the following places to collect the application form: Places to collect application form (if online app. not possible):
- Dhaka, Savar (Dhaka), Rajendropur (Gazipur), Bogra, Rajshahi, Quadirabad (Natore), Shahid Salahuddin (Ghatail/Tangail), Mymensingh, Comilla, Jalalabad(Sylhet), Chittagong, Jessore, Jahanabad(Khulna), Rangpur and Syedpur (Nilphamari) cantonment.
- Headquarter Recruiting Unit(Ajimpur, Dhaka), Headquarter Bangladesh Armed Forces' Board (160 Kakrail, Dhaka).
- District Armed Services Board (DASB)- Kustia, Bogra, Comilla, Chittagong, Barisal, Jessore, Sylhet, Khulna, Mymensingh, Noakhali, Dinajpur, Faridpur, Jamalpur, Pabna, Patuakhali, Rangpur, Tangail, Rajshahi and Chittagong Hill Tracts (Rajbari, Rangamaati) offices.
